These are a few of our favorite things.
In today’s economy, you can’t help but have at least one of the things discussed at your business, in school or just in casual conversation. And in some spaces, you can’t help but talk about all three. This is a space where we live and breathe all three, because we aren’t really here to just talk about them at Silicon Jungle, we personify these words.
We are Entrepreneurs.
The text book definition of an entrepreneur is “a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so”. In the definition, it is clear that the one thing that differentiates a regular business owner from an entrepreneur is risk. But it’s so much more than a financial risk. That is the obvious risk, but your reputation, your identity and your legacy are as important to the human soul as money. It is important to recognize as entrepreneurs we are taking a number of financial risks, but more than that, we are taking a risk with ourselves, and that’s a scary and exciting path in life.
We are Diverse.
In this day and age, we are all trying to recognize and celebrate diversity. But we are not hear to talk about it. Our team of developers, designers, artists and writers are diverse. The perspectives and concepts we will be talking about here may not always be the most popular thought, but they come from a place of experience. The expressions such as living life “with blinders” or “Rose-colored” glasses is often referring to people who live a very narrow-minded life and become exposed to the larger world in a number of ways. We are here to expose people (you the reader) to new truths, but we want to learn a few along the way too. We embrace diversity by listening and learning from others, there isalways a diverse voice to listen to besides your own.
We are Technology.
First and foremost, people have always been technology. We create the ideas. Without new ideas, there would be no new technology. Technology continues to make the world a little smaller as we can reach more and more people with less effort. Yet, there are still so many places across the globe where access is still limited. This is of great concern to us. There are young boys and girls who have ideas that could shape our technology in the future but they need access, and that is why we are here, to bring more access to technology. We want to share a part of us with others, and that part is technology.
At the end of the day, we are building our story…..
